Electronics Lab Practices
Virtual lab orientation, measurement technique, safety, DMM and bench power supply simulation.
Technical Algebra & Trigonometry
Applied math for phasors, ratios, and circuit problem solving.
Term 2
AC circuits & instrumentation
AC Circuit Analysis
Sinusoids, reactance, impedance, resonance, transformers, power factor.
Test & Measurement Instrumentation
Oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum basics, measurement uncertainty.
Technical Writing
Lab reports, specifications, and documentation for engineering teams.
Term 3
Semiconductors
Semiconductor Devices
Diodes, BJTs, MOSFETs, biasing, small-signal models, thermal limits.
Digital Logic Fundamentals
Boolean algebra, combinational and sequential logic, counters, state machines.
Applied Calculus Concepts
Rates of change, integrals, and transients as used in circuit behavior.
Term 4
Analog & embedded systems
Analog Circuit Design
Op-amps, filters, oscillators, instrumentation amplifiers, noise.
Microcontrollers & Embedded C
ARM Cortex-M programming, GPIO, timers, interrupts, ADC, serial buses.
Applied Physics for Electronics
Electromagnetism, energy, and materials behavior in electronic systems.
Term 5
Power, control & networks
Industrial Controls & PLCs
Ladder logic, sensors, actuators, motor control, process loops.
Power Electronics & Motor Drives
Rectifiers, converters, inverters, switching regulators, protection.
Data Communications & Networking
Signal integrity, serial protocols, Ethernet, industrial networks, IoT links.
