Certificate
Dental Equipment Service Technician
A 12-credit certificate for technicians who service dental offices and clinics. You start with dental chairs and delivery units — hydraulics, motors, foot controls, air and water lines, and dental unit waterline care. Then you work through utility systems: oil-free compressors, dryers, dental vacuum, amalgam separators and plumbing. Next comes handpieces, ultrasonic scalers, curing lights and sterilization equipment. The final course covers intraoral and panoramic X-ray safety basics, sensors and imaging workstations, preventive maintenance and service documentation. Coursework is vendor-neutral.
