Certificate
Neonatal Care Equipment Service Technician
A 12-credit certificate for technicians who support neonatal intensive care units. You start with neonatal physiology and thermoregulation and the safety principles behind NICU equipment. Then you work through incubators and radiant warmers: heaters, servo control, skin-temperature probes, humidity and alarms. Next comes phototherapy and neonatal monitoring: light sources, irradiance measurement, pulse oximetry, apnea and cardiorespiratory monitors. The final course covers performance verification, electrical safety, infection control, preventive maintenance and documentation. Coursework is vendor-neutral.
Outcomes
