Aircraft Electrical Systems and Wiring

AVI 101 introduces students to the fundamental components and operational principles of aircraft electrical systems, crucial for entry-level aviation technicians. The curriculum covers various methods of electrical power generation, from primary sources to emergency backup systems, along with the intricate network of power distribution across aircraft systems. Emphasis is placed on industry-standard wiring techniques, including proper connectorization, wire termination, and routing, adhering to best practices for reliability and safety. Students will also delve into the critical aspects of Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) maintenance, inspection, and regulatory requirements, understanding its impact on aircraft airworthiness. Through theoretical instruction and practical hands-on exercises, students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively maintain and troubleshoot aircraft electrical systems.
