Communication, Navigation and Avionics Troubleshooting

AVI 115 is a technician-level course designed for individuals pursuing careers in avionics maintenance and repair. It covers the fundamental principles, operational characteristics, and common troubleshooting methodologies for a range of essential aircraft systems. The curriculum emphasizes practical application, with hands-on laboratory exercises integrated to reinforce theoretical concepts and develop diagnostic proficiency. Students will learn to interpret technical documentation, apply systematic troubleshooting procedures, and utilize specialized test equipment to ensure the airworthiness and reliability of communication, navigation, and surveillance avionics. The course culminates in a capstone project, simulating real-world service scenarios and requiring students to demonstrate their accumulated knowledge and skills in a comprehensive manner. This training is vital for maintaining safe and efficient air operations.
