Students will learn to write various types of technical documents, including user manuals, design specifications, test reports, and API documentation, specifically tailored for embedded hardware and software. Syllabus

*Course Description*
This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles and practices of creating effective technical documentation within the embedded systems domain. Students will gain proficiency in analyzing audiences, structuring complex information, and producing clear, concise, and accurate documents such as user manuals, API documentation, design specifications, and test reports. The course emphasizes industry standards, ethical considerations, and the use of appropriate tools for documenting embedded hardware and software projects.

*Policies*
*   **Attendance:** Regular attendance is expected. Students are responsible for all material covered in class, regardless of attendance.
*   **Late Work:** Late assignments will be penalized 10% per day, up to a maximum of 50%. Extensions may be granted for documented emergencies, if requested prior to the deadline.
*   **Academic Integrity:** All work submitted must be original and adhere to the college's academic integrity policies. Plagiarism or unauthorized collaboration will result in a failing grade for the assignment and potential disciplinary action.
