Detector Calibration, Image QC & Compliance Testing
This course provides comprehensive training in the essential procedures for maintaining and ensuring the quality and compliance of mammography imaging systems. Students will master flat-field and gain calibration techniques, understand the principles of phantom image scoring, and perform Contrast-to-Noise Ratio (CNR) testing. The curriculum includes detailed coverage of tomosynthesis imaging quality control and a thorough exploration of the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)-style compliance workflow. Emphasis is placed on vendor-neutral service practices, precision, and adherence to safety protocols, preparing technicians for critical roles in biomedical equipment service.
