Segmentation, Wireless and Hardening
This course delves into critical cybersecurity domains for medical devices and IoMT, focusing on practical application. Students will explore network segmentation strategies, including VLANs and micro-segmentation, to isolate sensitive healthcare assets and minimize attack surfaces. The curriculum covers wireless security best practices, encompassing Wi-Fi encryption, authentication, and secure access point configuration tailored for clinical environments. Furthermore, students will master system hardening techniques for medical devices and associated infrastructure, addressing operating system security, patch management, and secure configuration baselines. Hands-on labs and a culminating capstone project reinforce theoretical concepts, preparing students to implement and manage secure IoMT ecosystems effectively in real-world healthcare settings.
