RF Test Equipment and Radar Troubleshooting

RDR 115 introduces students to the essential test and measurement instrumentation used in the maintenance and repair of modern radar systems. The curriculum covers the operational principles, configuration, and practical application of RF spectrum analyzers for signal analysis, network analyzers for characterizing RF components and transmission lines, and RF power meters for accurate power measurements. Emphasis is placed on interpreting measurement data, identifying common radar system faults, and applying systematic troubleshooting methodologies. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on laboratory exercises, students will develop the competency to isolate component failures, verify system integrity, and perform performance verification on various radar subsystems, preparing them for critical roles in RF system diagnostics and maintenance.
