Advanced Medical Imaging Service
A 21-credit advanced certificate covering the four high-complexity imaging modalities. You work through CT reconstruction and detector service, MRI magnet, gradient and RF systems with quench safety, fluoroscopy dose control, nuclear medicine detection and hot-lab safety, plus DICOM/PACS integration and accreditation testing.

CT Systems: Gantry, Detectors & Reconstruction
Slip rings, rotating anode tubes, detector arrays, data acquisition, reconstruction math, and CT calibration service.
Advanced Radiation Safety & Imaging Physics
Dose metrics (CTDI, DLP), shielding design, survey instruments, and radiation protection for imaging service work.
Term 2
MRI Systems: Magnets, RF Coils & Gradient Systems
Superconducting magnets, cryogens, quench safety, gradient amplifiers, RF chains, shim systems, and MRI service practice.
Fluoroscopy & Radiography Systems Service
Image intensifiers, flat-panel fluoro, dose-rate control, C-arms, angiography suites, and fluoroscopic QA.
Term 3
Nuclear Medicine: Gamma Cameras, PET & Radiopharmacy Safety
Scintillation detection, PMT tuning, collimators, PET coincidence detection, hot-lab safety, and NM quality control.
Networking, PACS/DICOM & System Integration
DICOM services, HL7 basics, PACS workflow, network troubleshooting, and cybersecurity for imaging equipment.
Advanced QA, Regulations & Capstone Field Project
ACR accreditation testing, Joint Commission expectations, and a documented capstone service project.
