Certificate

Infusion Pump Service Technician

A 12-credit certificate for biomedical technicians who service infusion pumps and related devices. You start with infusion therapy fundamentals: routes of administration, drug delivery concepts, flow dynamics and the clinical contexts where pumps are used. From there you work through pump anatomy and fluidics — tubing and cassettes, peristaltic and pulsatile mechanisms, syringe drives, valves and sensors — and then into the electronic systems of volumetric, syringe and ambulatory pumps: motors and encoders, pressure sensing, air-in-line detection, alarms and control software. The final course covers functional testing, flow and occlusion verification against measurement equipment, calibration, battery and electrical safety checks, preventive maintenance and the documentation that keeps an infusion fleet survey-ready. Coursework is vendor-neutral; Anode is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized training provider for any equipment manufacturer.
