Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance

Students will acquire essential skills for maintaining the operational integrity of robotic manipulators and their integrated motion control systems. The curriculum covers foundational safety protocols, interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, utilizing diagnostic tools, and executing component-level repairs. Emphasis is placed on systematic fault isolation, understanding common failure modes, and implementing effective preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Through a blend of theoretical instruction and practical hands-on labs, students will develop the competency to ensure reliable and efficient robotic operation in industrial settings, adhering to industry best practices and safety standards. This course is crucial for preparing technicians for real-world challenges.
