Hematology Analyzers, Fluidics and Optics

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the operational principles behind modern hematology analyzers, emphasizing the core technologies that enable accurate blood cell counting and differentiation. The curriculum delves into fluidic pathways, including the functions of pumps, valves, and probes, as well as the critical role of flow cells in sample presentation. A significant portion of the course is dedicated to optical detection systems, exploring light sources, detectors, and the essential techniques for optical alignment and calibration. Through theoretical instruction and practical hands-on exercises, students will develop the skills necessary to diagnose and resolve common issues related to fluidics and optics, ensuring the reliable performance of these complex laboratory instruments. This course prepares technicians to maintain high standards of analytical accuracy and equipment uptime.
