Certificate
Endoscope Reprocessing & Service Technician
A 12-credit certificate for technicians who service flexible endoscopes and reprocessing equipment. You start with endoscope anatomy — insertion tubes, angulation systems, biopsy channels, air/water and suction systems, light guides and video architectures — alongside the infection-prevention principles that drive reprocessing. Then you work through washer-disinfector systems: racks and connectors, wash, rinse and disinfect phases, pumps, valves, heaters and cycle controls. Next comes hands-on scope service: leak testing, channel inspection and brushing, angulation system adjustment, optical evaluation, minor repair and damage assessment. The final course covers drying and storage cabinets, scope tracking and documentation, cycle verification, water quality, quality assurance testing and department compliance. Coursework is vendor-neutral.
